BW: The Movie: Scorponok

Another Beast Wars redesign based on the style used in the 2007 Transformers movie.

Scorponok was a very neglected character on the show, and if Wazzzzpinator was out getting blown to bits elsewhere, Skorponok wouldn't let us down. The poor guy got flattened, crushed, and finally incinerated (unfortunately, that wasn't as funny, since that was when he died), all for laughs. I guess that's what he got for being the boss suck-up. Scorponok was Megatron's second in command and was completely obedient.

Anyway, I guess he unintentionally came out to look very close to the movie Scorponok. I decided to keep those weird-looking eyelid things off of his eyes, because he just looks so much creepier without eyelids. I also had fun designing his mouth-parts. The actual mouth is very thin, and moves up and down. Two mandibles (those M-shaped things on either side of his mouth) move side to side to make his mouth appear wider or smaller. I also thought it'd be cool to have his insignia engraved in his forehead. He's so loyal to Megatron that he permanently branded himself with the Predacon logo.
