They have a monthly specialty show called Vox Populi, which is structured similarly to NPR's This American Life, in which there's a theme for every show, and each submission has to vaguely relate to that theme. February's topic was "Struggle," and I'd had this story floating around in my head for a while now. It's actually Sue's backstory for Extinction Event, but I felt like adding the element of zombies would be too much clutter for a 10 minute piece. So, submitted for your listening pleasure, here
